Europe Pt. 3: Paris

The last and final leg of our trip was Paris, France. In the 5 days that we were there, we hit all the tourist spots, walked almost a half marathon in one day alone, and took in the awe of the city.

Most of the time while we were in Paris, it was just my mom and I exploring the city because my sister was being a loner, spending her birthday by herself. But whatever, that’s her prerogative. We had fun without her!

We had a 2 day museum pass, so we took advantage of every museum that would let us in with it. Needless to say, we were bombarded with art and culture those 2 days.

Honestly, we also used the museum pass to use the bathrooms. Hey, when you gotta go…

Some other sights on our hit-list:

  • Montparnasse
  • Champs Elysees
  • Pantheon
  • Shakespeare and Co.
  • Notre Dame
  • Eiffel Tower (that’s a given)

*Sigh.

Seeing the Eiffel Tower in the daylight is a sight to behold. Seeing the Eiffel Tower at night is even more breathtaking. It sparkles at the top of each hour!

It goes without saying that we ate baguettes, crepes, pastries and chocolate throughout our stay there. Thankfully we walked everywhere to be able to eat all the good French cuisine.

Now that work has been in full swing as we prepare to wrap things up for the holidays, I’m nostalgic of the time when I could just walk, eat and take in the sights around me. As far as my first European trip goes, I’d have to say that it did not disappoint.

Although I have no other trips planned for 2017, besides my time back in N.C., my 2018 is looking bright and full of possibilities! Any recommendations will be gladly accepted.
